House in Moraira (Spain)

Living in the Mediterranean is a vital and sensory experience that we have captured in this interior design project in Moraira, on the Costa Blanca

House in Moraira by Auñon Cabrera

To introduce our project, in which the comprehensive renovation of a villa of an eight bedroom and two kitchens,  in Moraira has been carried out, it is essential to explain what it means to inhabit the Mediterranean. It is living a complete sensory experience, immersing yourself in colors, textures and sounds that evoke the lightness of casualness, the subtle changes of a sunset, the energy of a sunrise and the salt on the skin after a swim in the sea.

In our studio, we project based on natural light and views of the landscape, two premises that allow us to design spaces that maximize functionality and beauty. The villa boasts abundant natural light and idyllic sea views, creating a canvas with a life of its own.

To give the environment the importance it deserves and make it an integral part of living, we design open spaces that facilitate fluid communication both within the home and between the interior and exterior. We redistribute the spaces to create larger common areas, where guests can enjoy shared moments. The master suite rooms have been redesigned to offer sea views when you wake up and when you go to bed, in a constant embrace with nature.

We chose a color palette focused on earth tones, allowing the living itself to fill the space, like the waves that define the shape of the sand. Each room has a touch of different color to differentiate them, allowing you to change spaces and experience different sensations when you stay in the house again. In addition, the home is adapted to guarantee accessibility to all guests.

The lighting in this project, as in all those we carry out from our interior design studio, is of great importance and is studied in the smallest detail. We incorporate custom furniture design and iconic pieces from the world of design, always under our motto: “what is beautiful must be functional, and what is functional, beautiful.” The paintings that adorn the villa are by local artists, adding an authentic and cultural touch.

Considering that the final destination of this home will be a vacation rental, we seek to recreate the emotions and sensations typical of the Costa Blanca. Each room includes unique details, always prioritizing warmth, welcome and freshness.
