It is the redesign of a traditional Argentine product originated in the 1930s. At that time the wineries moved the wine in bulk to the large consumption areas such as Rosario, Buenos Aires and Córdoba to market it in containers of 200 liters, 20 liters or 5 liters to canteens, pulperías or wine seller. The bartender needed to fractionate the wine to take it to the customer’s table and did so using penguin-shaped jugs. Previously jars with a wicker handle were used, but later the penguin became popular and began to be used massively both in bars and restaurants and in family roasts, where it had a peak of use in the 50s and 70s of the twentieth century. The original penguin was liter but today you can get a quarter, a half and three quarters of a liter.

Materiality is defined by the use of ceramics of the highest quality. The products are manufactured per unit following a hand-finished artisanal production method. Different types of ceramic such as stoneware and matt white ceramic are used to obtain different finishes.
