Milan Design Week<\/strong>, the meeting between classic design and experimentation, has back as we know it: exhibitions, performances and workshops will cross the international capital of design keeping the hybrid ‘phygital’ model. From eiDesign, we present to you some of Spanish and Latin designers that you can’t miss this weekend!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

ANDR\u00c9S REISINGER in \u201cToo much, Too soon!\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Andr\u00e9s Reisinger (Argentina, 1990) exhibits for the first time his ‘illuminated sculptures’, four metal and wooden pieces of metal and wood topped with a glowing glass orb. The sculptures become the only source of illumination in \u201cToo much, Too soon!\u201d, turning Nilufar Depot into a space that transports us to the free jazz of the ’60s and ’60s and those rooms full of smoke and darkness. To accentuate the impression of daze and the atmosphere of that decade, Reisinger wraps the room in stainless steel and aluminum and accompanies it with a musical composition.<\/span><\/p>\n

STUDIO PERSONA in \u201cVolume, the land and the maker\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Unno Gallery exhibits \u201cVolume, The Land and the Maker\u201d, a group show featuring the most promising Latin American artists and designers of the Latin American scene: Abel Carcamo, Habitaci\u00f3n 116, C.S. N\u00fa\u00f1ez, C.S., Estudio Persona and Bandido Studio. From eiDesign we highlight Peel Cabinet by Estudio Persona (Emiliana Gonzalez & Jessie Young): an aluminium and terracotta cabinet that explores the multi-functionality of each element through a neutral and minimal approach.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Gathering Place, by Mart\u00edn Az\u00faa (Spain, 1965), reflects the spirit of Barcelona’s bars and invites us to think about how design transforms them into bustling and surprising spaces. to think about how design transforms them into bustling and surprising spaces, but also replaces and overshadows those authentic and traditional ones. Bars as spaces for sharing experiences, conversations and drinks and design also as food (Design for food).<\/span><\/p>\n

NATALIA CRIADO in \u201cConvergenze\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Erika Cavallini opens the group show \u201cConvergenze\u201d. The works reflect the spirit and invite the visitor to enter into an ancestral experience. Among the pieces on display, there are objects of minimalist geometric shapes by Natalia Criado (Colombia, 1985), designer who is inspired by Colombian culture to create and produce handcrafted jewelry and accessories.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Palinurobar\u201d exhibits the furniture of the OWL studio, founded by Alfredo L\u00f3pez (Canada, 1986) and based in Barcelona. With objects mainly made of wood, OWL presents for the first time its new series ‘Alabaster’. Unique and handcrafted pieces that seek to work with and rediscover unusual materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

VERDI DESIGN in \u201cTextile labyrinth\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

At the Salone del Mobile is Textile Labyrinth, a nomadic installation where natural fibres and metal play with light.<\/span>
Verdi Design, a studio of the Colombian Carlos Vera Dieppa <\/span>(Colombia, 1956-2010), seeks to create a symbiosis between textile and structure as well as a sensorial experience where silence is the protagonist.<\/span><\/p>\n
