The textile industry contributes to global pollution, starting with production and ending with us as consumers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Just think that out of 100 garments produced, 85 end up in landfills and of these only the 1% is recycled! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All this is not only a cause of pollution, but also of ethical problems linked to the exploitation of labour. In many countries (where there is the highest concentration of clothing production in the world) workers' basic rights such as safety, pay and health are not respected.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But the fashion industry is constantly evolving. Many companies are implementing a series of actions that promote cooperation within the production chain to safeguard our planet in order to overcome the idea of \"disposable\" fashion.<\/span><\/p>\n

What does any of this have to do with the slow fashion<\/em>?<\/span><\/p>\n

The term slow fashion<\/em> is a neologism created by Kate Fletcher in 2007.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a model of sustainable textile production, based on quality and ethics, born to counter the fast fashion <\/em>(but not only) and pollution due to processing and choice of non eco-sustainable fabrics.<\/span><\/p>\n

To incorporate this mink into a business model, you need to be aware of the need for a change in the traditional system and greater transparency in the business cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n
