Sono le ceramiche di Maxine \u00c1lvarez, l\u2019unione armoniosa tra materia e creativit\u00e0. Nata e cresciuta in Messico, \u00e8 sempre stata avvolta da un ambiente artistico, ricco di spunti, immaginazione e genio creativo, anche grazie all\u2019attivit\u00e0 del padre, il pittore Maxine Scherb.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The ceramist began her career in 2014 after moving to Los Angeles, California, following her degree in literature. A journey that leads her to totally immerse herself in the art of ceramics.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A passion that transpires in each of his creations and which expresses, in every centimeter of clay, the continuous research and exploration of the material itself.<\/span><\/p>\n

Understanding pasta, its characteristics, its malleability and resistance, are the basis of every artist's work.<\/span><\/p>\n

A fusion between technique and creativity that manifests itself as the maximum expression in his ceramics.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fine lines that convey solidity, stillness and silence. The only sound allowed is that of the lathe, an instrument that gives voice to the material and to the intrinsic story it contains.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because clay has memories. Tell a story. A melody that beats to the natural rhythm of the earth, reflecting in all its parts the intimate connection between the ground and everything that lives and flows in it, water, earth, fire and air.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each piece comes from the artist's personal relationship with the material itself. The hands follow the mysterious tale of clay and shape a new chapter.<\/span><\/p>\n

And so, whoever becomes its owner begins an intimate and unique story with the object, which leaves its past history to become an integral part of something new and of the life of those who choose it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strength, action and sounds of faraway places. In the creations of Maxine \u00c1lvarez, the experiences lived by the material and from which it comes are relived. A journey through the earth that shapes and recreates itself from the earth, transforming itself from mud into small pieces of art, pristine and pure.<\/span><\/p>\n
